At the age of 8, Carine receives a box of oil paint for Christmas... By mistake. She will spend hours playing with this unexpected treasure, with clumsiness and jubilation. Her work will always be marked by this wonder, and she compares her research as a self-taught artist to the discoveries of the first men whose life fascinates her. Her fierce works, rich in pigments and textures, are like a contemporary echo of these cave paintings. As her work matures, she moves further and further away from the reassuring but restrictive limits of figuration, and devotes herself to the abstract with passion.Today, she plans to use her knowledge and sensitivity to help others by studying art therapy.

The opposition between technical constraints and the search for absolute creative freedom becomes one of the great engines of Carine's creative energy. She develops her own techniques, mixes paint with sand, plays with the contrast between the different grains, creates impasto with oil sticks. She works each of her canvases flat, starting by sculpting the material before applying the colors. Very sensitive, she believes that her best paintings are born from a certain emotional urgency. Inspired by an event in her life, a news item, a piece of music, she launches into her work with speed and spontaneity, leaving no room for doubt.
