Atypical and prolific German creator, Julia Ulrich wishes above all to depict her imaginary world with sylvan tints and folkloric influences. Naturally, she first merges her passions by turning to a Bachelor of Arts degree and then to a Master of Fine Arts degree. In 2019, she held her first exhibition in Wertheim. Since then, projects follow one another like a group art exhibition in Berlin and her participation in several art fairs. Artist, teacher, housewife, Julia also loves sports and video games, and always dreams her life.

Julia draws her inspiration from wild and pristine environments such as the German Spessart forest of her childhood. Blending landscapes and fairy tales, her works illustrate a fairy tale vision of the beauty of everyday life and nature. The artist stages his dreamlike tales through variations of still lifes sealed in the same scenography. The play of light and shadow fascinates her and often proves to be the key to her creativity and her fantastic universe. Working with oil paint on wood, each brushstroke is thoughtful and has its role and importance in the narrative of her works. Through her paintings Julia shares her stories and invites us to travel with her to other realities. By letting the child in her express herself, she brings joy and wonder to the child in us.
