To find beautiful things to paint, all you have to do is look around, contemplate
your surroundings and gastronomic landscape.

I see myself as a painter of free figuration. This allows me to make my painting a playground where I exploit reality, photos or compositions based on personal research.
Through the use of color and the distortion of forms, I question my notion of elsewhere,
how a tagged truck can inspire an exotic evocation, or palm trees set off against an urban backdrop...
In this way, exoticism takes on a phantasmagorical form in my perception of the banality of everyday life.

Today, I work in perpetual observation of everyday life,
while questioning the history of art.
Through classical themes, architectural views, still life, landscape, portrait, with a work of contrasting shadows and a work on colors and light. Always in oil paint.
I mention the exceptional work of Alice Neels, but I also look at Hopper, David Hockney, Kehinde Wiley or Chloé Wise and Claire Tabouret. But Edouard Manet and Chardin are never far away.
