Sophie Costa is a self-taught visual artist who has been involved in the art world for over 20 years. Between singular art and pop art, she explores an abundant creativity that translates into energetic and positive works, where visual impact and material effect are at the heart of her approach. Sophie Costa's work is deeply influenced by the American pop artists of the 60s and 80s, such as Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Her unique technique blends collage and acrylic paint, incorporating everyday objects such as vinyl records, audio cassettes and crayons, which she hunts down and recycles to give them a second life. This upcycling process gives her works a graphic, vintage character, while conveying a message of positivity.
